LOUDER spearheaded a comprehensive two-week training program in Beirut, specifically designed for participants from the Iraqi organization Al Firdaws. This initiative, funded by Sida and Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), was part of the larger project aimed at increasing effective political participation of women in Iraq. The program, titled ‘My Political Participation is a Right, not a Gift,’ focused on raising awareness about women’s political participation and providing educational guides on the role of women in society. It was a significant step in empowering and building the capacities of women in terms of political participation and gender sensitivity. The training also played a vital role in enlightening the local community about the positive impact of women in leadership roles and the importance of offering them real opportunities to enhance their resilience. Furthermore, it emphasized the need to advocate for institutional reforms to strengthen women’s participation in political life, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and equitable political landscape in Iraq.
LOUDER is a human rights and peacebuilding organization that fosters transformational human rights education driven by the Rights based approach (HRBA).
