On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Malala Fund’s Lebanon chapter launched its Education initiative on December 9, 2022, at the prestigious InterContinental Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut. This significant event, overseen and facilitated by Dr. Khouloud Alkhatib, the Executive Director of LOUDER, featured a high-level panel discussion. The panel witnessed the participation of eminent personalities including MP Mr. Hassan Morad, Chair of the Education Parliamentary Committee, MP Dr. Ghassan Skaff, Member of Parliamentary Committees of Education, Women and Child, Dr. Hiyam Ishaq, President of the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and Mrs. Rana El-Houjeiri, Lebanon Country Representative and MENA Regional Advisor for Malala Fund. The event brought together Education Champions, National Partners from across Lebanon, duty bearers, official representatives, and other key stakeholders. This gathering was a testament to LOUDER’s dedication to advocating for human rights and education, aligning with Malala Fund’s mission to promote learning and empowerment for all.
